a love letter to the exploration of identity in digital spaces, character creation tools, and how avatars can help us to understand just who we are and who we want to be.
This narrative is a commentary on how we perceive identity as a contemporary society, the pilgrimage and fountain being a direct metaphor for queerness and coming out. There are many communities beyond just the LGBTQ+ that this metaphor could stand for as well, but as this piece is from my perspective, my non-binary identity is the main inspiration.
Street art, in an act of beautiful rebellion, turns industrial urban sprawl into a lush, living network of artistic expression. Itâs a way for people to shape the image of the places they live, both in defiance of and in harmony with the structures that populate them.
